New Employee Recognition Program Coming for 2023
You asked for it — you got it! A new CoolSys Reward and Recognition program is coming in 2023. You told us you wanted a clearly defined, easy-to-use recognition program that honors exceptional effort by both individuals and teams across the business. Since then, we’ve been hard at work, creating a new program that incorporates your suggestions.
“We understand that rewards and recognition are important to our employees, our company and our culture,” says CoolSys Chief Human Resources Officer Ann Miller. “When employees feel appreciated, they are happier and more engaged, and that’s critical to our success. A new program was an important step in showing our employees how much their accomplishments are valued by their manager, their colleagues and the organization.”
Many Paths to Recognition
The new program includes three separate categories: Service Awards, SPOT Awards and CEO Awards.
Service Awards (formerly known as Value Coin) will be announced quarterly. All employees are eligible to be nominated by a CoolSys manager — either their own or a manager from another team/department. Nominators should detail how the employee goes beyond their normal job responsibilities, delivering a result that has a significant impact on the company, their team and/or customers. The award committee will make the final selections. Service Award winners receive $250/points redeemable in Recognation, our CoolSys recognition system.
Managers may present a SPOT Award to any employee. These awards have a $25 to $50 value. Upon approval of the award, the employee may select a gift through Recognation. Peer-to-peer, non-monetary recognition will also be part of the SPOT Awards, with no approval required.
Teams and individuals who’ve performed significantly beyond their regular duties to contribute to a safe, efficient, innovative and/or profitable operation may be nominated for a CEO Award. Winners, who are chosen by an HR committee, may be recognized as a team ($500 awards to each team member) or as an individual ($2,500 each, awarded to as many as three separate employees). All winners will also receive a signed letter from CoolSys CEO Anesa Chaibi.
