CoolSys Launches Revamped and Enhanced Employee Recognition Program
Thanks to great suggestions from Team CoolSys, we started 2023 with a brand-new Employee Reward and Recognition Program. Employees told us they wanted a clearly defined, easy-to-use recognition program that honors exceptional effort by both individuals and teams across the business.
“We understand that rewards and recognition are important to our employees, our company and our culture,” says CoolSys Chief Human Resources Officer Ann Miller. “When employees feel appreciated, they are happier and more engaged, and that’s critical to our success. A new program was an important step in showing our employees how much their accomplishments are valued by their manager, their colleagues and the organization.”
Many Paths to Recognition
The new program includes three separate categories: Service Awards, SPOT Awards and CEO Awards.
Service Awards recognize employees who go beyond their normal job responsibilities, delivering results that have a significant impact on the company, their team and/or customers. All employees are eligible to be nominated by a CoolSys manager — either their own or a manager from another team/department. Service Awards will be announced quarterly. Winners receive points with a cash value that are redeemable for gifts in Recognation, the CoolSys recognition system.
There are two types of SPOT Awards. Managers may present a SPOT Award with a monetary value to any employee. Upon approval, the employee selects a gift through Recognation. In addition, peer-to-peer, non-monetary recognition will be available, with no approval required.
Teams and individuals who’ve performed significantly beyond their regular duties to contribute to a safe, efficient, innovative and/or profitable operation may be nominated for a CEO Award. Winners, who are chosen by an HR committee, may be recognized as a team ($500 awards to each team member) or as an individual ($2,500 each, awarded to as many as three separate employees). All winners will also receive a signed letter from CoolSys CEO Anesa Chaibi.
