Employee Spotlight: Samantha Lopez

We take great pride in the diversity of our CoolSys family of employees, and this Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re recognizing our Hispanic and Latinx employees.
CoolSys employee Samantha Lopez is a Service Coordinator based in her hometown, Miami, Florida. In her role, Samantha helps ensure the Service Technicians in our Miami location have the resources they need to serve our customers timely and effectively.
Samantha’s paternal great-grandparents are from Spain, her maternal great-grandparents are from Argentina and France, and both of her grandparents are from Argentina.
Samantha has fond memories of weekly family barbeques on Sunday evenings, having asado (barbeque) and empanadas together. She and her family enjoy holidays and other cultural celebrations. For example, they gather for dinner on Christmas Eve, and then at midnight, they take the children outside to look for Santa and the presents he brings. The family’s traditional holiday foods include cabrito (baby goat) or turkey. Family members who still live in Argentina get together each February to go to the annual La Chaya carnival and celebration.
