A Safety Culture Revolution at CoolSys

The definition of safety culture is pretty simple: It is the combination of attitudes, beliefs and values that employees and managers share regarding their physical and emotional safety while in the workplace. At CoolSys, we’re working hard to create a company-wide safety culture that benefits all of us.
A thriving safety culture helps each one of us to stay safe on the job and significantly lowers the chances of accidents and injuries that can affect your ability to earn a living. It also reduces risks and costs associated with injuries, employee turnover, poor product quality, inefficiency, low production and bad customer service.
Making Safety a Priority
In order to encourage positive changes in our safety culture at CoolSys, we’re taking the following steps:
- CoolSys has adopted safety as a core value and supports safety improvement decisions.
- CoolSys has established proactive safety metrics that help the company act on injury prevention opportunities.
- All employees are following standard procedures for incident investigation, mitigation, and prevention.
- Supervisors are empowering employees to be engaged through continuous improvement teams, special events and training.
