INTEGRITY is the foundation of trust — and without trust, there is no CoolSys (or any other business, for that matter). Living the value of integrity means that we don’t look the other way when someone — anyone — is committing a wrong. We take swift and appropriate action to deal with breaches in integrity. It’s not all about  just being a great company — but it is also about being a good company.

Our customers, our suppliers and our owners expect this from us, and we expect it from each and every employee — whether you’re at a desk, climbing a roof or driving a truck. In fact, our commitment to integrity begins even before someone becomes an employee. In our candidate screening process, we look for people who display integrity in their job and personal history and in the way they interact with us.

If You See Something, Say Something

Integrity may be defined as “doing the right thing when no one is looking.” We have a moral obligation to do what is right in every situation without expecting to be acknowledged, rewarded or congratulated. However, I’ll be quick to add that it’s also important to do the right thing when others are looking — to model integrity for each other, especially our newer team members.

One way to act with integrity is to speak up if you know or believe that someone — at any level of the organization — is doing something that would compromise our integrity. It’s a phrase we’ve repeated often: If you see something, say something. It’s not about “telling on” on anyone — it’s about speaking up, following your moral compass and acting with integrity to protect your customers, your team, your company and yourself.

Our leaders have an open- door policy and you can also contact our 24/7, confidential Ethics and Compliance Hotline. There are three ways to access this hotline:

We’re Here to Help

Integrity is such an important issue we want to ensure that you understand what it means and what’s expected of you. Our new CoolSys employee handbook will be available to all employees soon; be sure to review it, especially the section about integrity. Talk with your supervisor or manager if you have any questions. We don’t expect you to know all the answers, but we do expect you to act with integrity in every interaction with your customers, suppliers, coworkers and anyone else at CoolSys.
