Holt Refrigeration carrying out their 60-year tradition of taking great care of the regional customers they serve. Now, the 100-member team is bringing their dedication, talent and expertise to CoolSys as the newest member of our family of companies.
When C.E. Holt joined CoolSys at the end of 2020, the company became the fourth acquisition of the year along the East Coast — a focus region of growth for CoolSys. C.E. Holt is a well-known name in the region, having served its customers since 1961 from its headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Over the years, the company has grown to provide service, installation and light electrical work to businesses in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. Its geographical location means that C.E. Holt technicians have experience in a wide range of climates — from ice storms and snow in the western part of its service area to intense heat and hurricanes in the east.
Treating Everyone Like Family
Founders C.E. and Helen Holt laid the groundwork for a family-oriented business that was focused on giving back — to employees, customers and anyone else they came in contact with. “Their reputation was built on paying attention to details, understanding customer needs and staying attentive to customers while maintaining a family atmosphere,” says Sam Daniels, vice president of installation at C.E. Holt. He co-leads the company, along with Jordan Newsome, vice president of service.
That family-like approach and attention to customer service continues to drive C.E. Holt. “Without our customers and our employees, we would not be here,” Sam says. “We stay focused on the quality and timeliness of our work, understanding our customers’ wants and needs, and displaying the utmost professionalism in the field.”
Employee Enrichment Is Key
Another key value at C.E. Holt is continuing education. “It’s very important that all our technicians keep their craft honed and stay on top of technological advances,” Jordan says. “We make sure our employees are well versed in the latest equipment, techniques and technologies. In fact, one of the things that drew us to CoolSys was its commitment to employee development.”
Sam says they were also attracted to CoolSys’s robust benefits package for employees, as well as adding access to additional manpower, customer contacts and a sales team to C.E.
