Gradual Restart Planned for CoolSys
The plans to reopen the economy in the U.S. are creating some confusion, with some states lifting stay-at-home orders and others still advising to shelter in place.
Well, when it comes to CoolSys’ restart plans, we are here to shed some light.
As a company that operates in 42 states throughout the U.S., it’s vital for CoolSys to have a clear plan for our restart that protects the health of our employees, their families and our customers from the potential spread of COVID-19. Regardless of whether you’re beginning to venture out or still hunkering down at home, we urge all employees to continue to exercise caution, practice social distancing and safe hygiene habits, and to wear a mask when you’re in public.
This is a pivotal time and we want all of you to stay healthy and safe.
Even as your area starts lifting restrictions, we are not rushing back to business as usual. Coolsys recently unveiled an incremental restart plan, that will be gradually deployed as states reopen and as the number of COVID-19 cases decline. In case you missed it, here’s a quick recap of our phased plan:
- Phase One: As Communities Reopen – Business operations continue as is, with current social distancing, telework, safe hygiene, PPE practices and travel restrictions remaining in place. Customer demand will gradually increase as businesses reopen and the weather gets hot, allowing us to begin recalling furloughed employees. For more details on what to expect in phase one, click here.
- Phase Two: New Cases of COVID-19 Do Not Increase – More restrictions will lift, further increasing customer demand, and CoolSys will continue to recall furloughed employees. Social distancing, safe hygiene and PPE practices are still required, and office workers are encouraged to continue to telework, where possible. Gatherings should remain small (less than 50 people). Non-essential travel can resume with managerial approval.
- Phase Three: Sustained New Cases of COVID-19 Do Not Increase; Reliable Testing Is Fully Accessible and Treatment Protocols Have Been Approved –Restrictions lifted for social distancing, meetings, events, travel and carpooling. Teleworking may continue.
How long each phase lasts will depend on whether the virus is contained and when testing and treatment becomes fully accessible. If you’re uncertain about how these plans impact you or your job, please contact your supervisor or human resources representative. We are here to support and guide you.
