Making Resolutions? Here’s an Important One!
As the new year approaches, you may be thinking about in 2020. A really important one to consider is taking time for yourself on a regular basis. We care about your well-being—mind and body—so here are a few ideas for taking care of yourself in the year ahead:
- Chill out—Find a quiet place where you can relax without being disturbed. For a few minutes each day, clear your mind and take a break. You’ll be surprised how calm, clear-minded and energized you’ll feel afterward.
- Switch off when you hit the hay—Nothing keeps you on track better than a good night’s sleep. But did you know your smartphone or other electronic devices can make it hard to get the rest your body needs? Shut them down before you get into bed to get to sleep faster and awake feeling more rested.
- Get connected in real life— However you choose to do it, building relationships with others helps you stay healthy—physically and emotionally. Instead of using your break to check social media or play a game, put down your device and talk with a real person. Have lunch with co-workers, join a sports league or volunteer in a charity you care about.
