New Wellness Program Gives You Credit for Attending to Your Health

At CoolSys, your health and safety are always our top priority. We recognize that preventative care is a crucial part of detecting disease and illness early and helping to maintain overall good health. We are committed to ensuring that you get the best care and information you need to support a healthy life, including screenings, tests, services and treatments. To help with that, CoolSys is introducing a new wellness program for 2023 that will reward you for visiting your physician regularly.
Starting next year, employees and their spouses who are on the CoolSys Anthem or Kaiser medical plan will get a contribution discount for participating in our wellness program. If you are currently on one of those two medical plans, you have until December 15, 2022, to get your annual wellness exam. Note: If you and/or your spouse has already had a wellness exam in 2022, you do not have to get another exam this year.
Once you’ve completed the exam, you will see a wellness credit applied to your medical contribution at the start of 2023. You will not need to take any further action to get this credit; your health plan will automatically notify us when you have completed the annual wellness exam requirement.
Anyone newly enrolling in a medical plan during fall 2022 open enrollment for coverage beginning January 1, 2023, will have three months — until March 31, 2023 — to complete your annual wellness exam. The credit will be backdated to your benefits from January 1.
Important Details About Your Wellness Credit
Eligibility: Employees and their spouses who are covered under a CoolSys medical plan (Anthem or Kaiser).
Requirement: If you have not already done so in 2022, you and your covered spouse must visit your primary care physician(s) by December 15, 2022, to complete an annual wellness exam. If you are covered by Anthem, you can complete this exam in person with your physician or through Anthem’s Virtual Primary Care option. If you are covered under Kaiser’s medical plan, you must see your physician in person to complete your physical. These visits are at no cost to you.

Exclusion: If you miss the deadline or do not complete your annual physical, you will not receive this wellness credit, and your medical contribution will be higher in 2023.
