Tech Update – It’s Kickoff Time!

With a goal towards simplification and standardization, our major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project is about to kick off. And, we thought it would be a great time to provide an update of what is in the works.
In simple terms, ERP is a shared technology platform that allows each business within CoolSys to use standardized systems, while also operating on its own. For CoolSys team members throughout the country, ERP will ultimately make your job easier by:
- Providing industry standard best practices
- Improving communication and sharing of information
- Reducing manual processes
- Enabling better workflow to support growth
Since the early days of the project, we’ve been getting input from team members across the company on what technology they’ll need and what will work best for them. We’re looking for solutions and identifying gaps to make the shift to our new systems as easy as possible.
As Adam mentioned in the last issue of CoolTimes, we’ve already selected our applications and technology partners. And, now that the entire team is in place, we are moving forward quickly. Wave one is set to be completed by second quarter 2020, with the first operating brands up and running. Additional operating brands will come on to the platform in Q3 2020 and we’ll keep going until all companies are leveraging the same technology.
The bottom line is that technology is changing the way we do business. But, don’t worry. You’re not in this alone. Whether you work in the corporate office, at one of our operating brands or in the field, we are all in this together. We’ll be working with you and supporting you during the process. We’ll still provide the same great service to our customers — just how we’ll do it is improving, thanks to efficient business processes and technology.
