Texas Region Technicians Get Valuable Lessons From Legendary Grocery Chain
A group of top-level CoolSys technicians from our Texas Region are better equipped to serve one of our primary customers in the region following a resource data management (RDM) training session last month. HEB, a leading food retailer and a household name in central and southern Texas, hosted techs from our Houston, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Rio Grande Valley servicing districts at its corporate headquarters in San Antonio.
During the two-day event, Ryan Smith, director of Asset Management for HEB, provided hands-on, interactive training and coached techs in the do’s and don’ts of HEB’s systems. In turn, our techs had an opportunity to get firsthand, expert answers to their questions. The training ended with an exam, where techs demonstrated their understanding of the material in order to train and assist their colleagues.
“This training was a huge success, and our technicians felt better about supporting the customer,” said Edward Minier, CoolSys strategic account manager. “This was a great example of a strategic partnership between the customer and CoolSys to ensure future success and strengthen our relationship.”
Bringing It Home
Brett Wetzel, manager of Technical Troubleshooting and Training at CoolSys, also attended the training to offer his expertise and technical support. In addition, Brett recorded the sessions, which will be available online for onboarding new technicians and refresher training for current techs.
