The Covid Pandemic, One Year Later: The Future Looks Bright
As we pass the one-year mark of COVID-19 restrictions, there are several exciting developments that signal a return to our pre-Covid lifestyle. Someone recently commented that this transition will be gradual, like turning on a faucet, rather than instantaneous, like flipping on a light switch. In whatever way they come, they are welcome changes!
Many states are beginning to modify their Covid restrictions and mask mandates. Learn more about the current requirements for your state. In the meantime, the nationwide rollout of the Covid vaccine continues to expand, as more people become eligible for the shot. Each state determines who among its residents is eligible and when. Check out this handy state-by-state vaccination guide from The Wall Street Journal for more information about your state.
There’s a $25 Reward in Your Future!
We’re encouraging all members of our CoolSys family to get vaccinated as soon as you are eligible. You’re not only protecting yourself but those you come into contact with who may be more vulnerable to the worst effects of the virus—including elderly family members, friends and family with medical conditions that put them at high risk, and your customers.
To show our support for your effort to get vaccinated, CoolSys has created our Vaccine Incentive Program. You’re eligible for the program after you’ve received both shots of a vaccine that requires two rounds of vaccination or one shot of any single-dose vaccine. After you’ve met those requirements, you’re eligible for a $25 Visa gift card! Here’s how to claim your reward:
- After you’ve been fully vaccinated, log in to mycoolsysbenefits.com. Use the “Single Sign On” button to log in with your CoolSys email address and password.
- Click on “Claim your incentive.”
- Select the name of the vaccine you received, enter the date(s) you received it, upload a photo of your vaccine record card then click “Submit.”
- We’ll mail your $25 Visa gift card to your home address within 30 days of your registration.
Keep Covid at Bay
As of March 15, more than 39 million Americans have been fully vaccinated, and more than 72 million have had at least one dose. That number is growing day by day. There are now Covid vaccines available from three different manufacturers, increasing the number of Americans who can be vaccinated and speeding up the process. All three currently available vaccines — the two-part Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine — have been deemed safe and effective.
It’s important to note that — to maintain the gains we’ve made against COVID-19 — the CDC is recommending that everyone continue to follow the basic health precautions: wear a mask, stay at least six feet away from anyone who doesn’t live with you, wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer, and avoid crowded indoor spaces. These guidelines include those of you who have been fully vaccinated. After being vaccinated, however, the CDC says you’ll be safe to have limited contact — indoors and unmasked — with certain categories of people.
