With Your Help, We’re Taking Down COVID-19!
The hope for a return to a more normal lifestyle gets brighter by the week as more and more Americans receive their COVID-19 vaccination. As of April 20, more than 85 million people — 25% of the U.S. population — have completed the vaccination process. More than 132 million — 40% of the population — have received at least one dose. Those numbers are growing every day. At the same time, Covid-related emergency room visits and hospitalization have dropped among people age 65 and older, which seems to show that the vaccine is working!
Time to Get Vaccinated — and Get Rewarded!
The CDC has announced that everyone age 16 and older is now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine, and most states have adjusted accordingly. (See where your state stands.) That means practically anyone in the CoolSys family can now get vaccinated! Your CoolSys leadership supports the CDC’s recommendation that every American seek out a vaccination as soon as possible. No matter where you live, there are many opportunities and many locations for vaccination.
To say thank-you for doing your part to protect yourself and others from the virus, CoolSys has created our Vaccine Incentive Program. You’re eligible for the program after you’ve received both shots of a vaccine that requires two rounds of vaccination or one shot of any single-dose vaccine. After you’ve met those requirements, you’re eligible for a $25 Visa gift card! Here’s how to claim your reward:
- After you’ve been fully vaccinated, log in to MyCoolSysBenefits.com. Use the “Single Sign On” button to log in with your CoolSys email address and password.
- Click on “Claim your incentive.”
- Select the name of the vaccine you received, enter the date(s) you received it, upload a photo of your vaccine record card then click “Submit.”
- We’ll mail your $25 Visa gift card to your home address within 30 days of your registration.
Gift cards have already gone out to many CoolSys employees who have met the eligibility requirements. Your gift is waiting for you!
A Season of Celebration and Caution
While the news about Covid these days is mostly positive, it’s very important to remember we’re not out of the woods yet. It’s up to each one of us, individually, to continue practicing Covid precautions: wear a mask, stay at least six feet away from anyone who doesn’t live with you, wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer, and avoid crowded indoor spaces.
Please note that these recommendations include people who have been fully vaccinated when you’re in public among people you don’t live with. (“Fully vaccinated” means it has been two weeks since your second shot with a two-shot vaccine like Pfizer or Moderna or two weeks since a single-shot vaccine like Johnson & Johnson.)
The bottom line is that we have made tremendous strides as a society over the past year in the fight against COVID-19 — there is much to celebrate! — but we also need to stay vigilant to continue protecting everyone who is vulnerable to the virus. Stay safe, and please get vaccinated!
